Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Internalize (the "Service"), operated by Internalize ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, subscribing to a paid plan, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service
Internalize is a continuous API testing and monitoring platform. The Service executes HTTP requests you configure, evaluates assertions, monitors scheduled jobs, and notifies you when configured conditions are met or missed. The specific features available to you depend on your plan.
We may modify, add, or remove features at any time. We will give reasonable notice of material adverse changes to paying customers where practicable, but we are not obligated to maintain any specific feature.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 16 years old and legally capable of entering into a contract to use the Service. You are responsible for:
- all activity that occurs under your account;
- keeping your credentials, API keys, and tokens secure;
- the accuracy of the information you provide;
- all endpoints, URLs, credentials, webhooks, and content you configure to be tested or monitored.
You must notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to, and not to permit any third party to, use the Service to:
- test, probe, scan, monitor, or send traffic to any system, endpoint, or network that you do not own or do not have explicit written permission to test;
- conduct, facilitate, or support denial-of-service, credential-stuffing, scraping at abusive rates, vulnerability scanning of third parties, or any activity that could reasonably be characterized as a network attack;
- violate any applicable law, regulation, sanctions regime, or third-party right (including intellectual property, privacy, and contractual rights);
- transmit, store, or process unlawful, infringing, defamatory, harassing, deceptive, or harmful content;
- transmit malware or any code designed to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to any system;
- transmit special-category personal data (as defined under GDPR) through the Service, including health data, biometric data, payment card data (PCI), or government-issued identifiers, except where we have a separate written agreement covering such use;
- circumvent plan limits, rate limits, usage metering, access controls, or any technical limitation of the Service;
- resell, sublicense, white-label, or provide the Service to third parties as a standalone offering without our prior written consent;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law;
- benchmark or publish performance tests of the Service without our prior written consent.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that the endpoints you configure permit automated testing at the cadence you schedule. We may throttle, suspend, or terminate flows, jobs, or accounts we reasonably believe violate this section, without prior notice and without refund.
4. Your Content and Data
"Your Content" means the configurations, requests, responses, variables, secrets, webhooks, assertions, and other data you submit to or generate through the Service. As between you and us, you retain all rights in Your Content.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, transmit, process, display, and otherwise use Your Content solely to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service and to provide it to you. We do not sell Your Content and do not use it to train machine-learning models for third parties.
You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to submit Your Content and to authorize the testing and monitoring activity you configure, and that doing so does not violate any law or third-party right.
5. Paid Plans, Billing, and Cancellation
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annual) through our payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on each renewal.
- Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price unless you cancel before the next renewal.
- Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access until then.
- Price changes. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice, effective on your next renewal.
- Taxes. Prices are exclusive of taxes. You are responsible for all applicable taxes other than taxes on our net income.
- Failed payments. If a charge fails, we may suspend the Service and, after a reasonable grace period, terminate your account.
- Overages and add-ons. Add-ons are billed monthly regardless of your plan interval and are not prorated.
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
6. Free Plan and Trials
Free plans and trials are provided at our discretion. We may modify, restrict, suspend, or discontinue free access at any time without notice and without liability.
7. Uptime, Availability, and Support
We do not guarantee any specific uptime, response time, alert latency, or availability. The Service is provided on a commercially reasonable basis. Planned maintenance, third-party outages, internet conditions, and other factors may affect performance. We are not liable for missed alerts, delayed alerts, false positives, or false negatives.
Support is provided via email on a best-effort basis. Enterprise plans may include separate support terms, which will be set out in a written agreement.
8. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party providers, including payment processing (Stripe), transactional email (Postmark), infrastructure and storage (including Cloudflare R2 where configured), and optional AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI) where you use AI features. Your use of the Service may be subject to those providers' terms, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.
You are responsible for complying with the terms of any third-party API or service you configure the Service to test.
9. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the Service, including encryption in transit, encrypted storage of secrets, and access controls. However, no system is perfectly secure. You acknowledge that you use the Service at your own risk and are responsible for:
- not submitting production secrets that you cannot rotate;
- rotating secrets promptly if you suspect compromise;
- restricting the scope of any credentials you configure to the minimum necessary;
- maintaining your own security controls, backups, and incident response procedures.
If you discover a security issue, please report it privately to [email protected]. Do not publicly disclose before we have a reasonable opportunity to respond.
10. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, failed to pay, engaged in activity that poses a risk to the Service or third parties, or are required to do so by law.
You may terminate by cancelling your subscription and deleting your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends and we may delete Your Content after a reasonable retention period (see our Privacy Policy).
Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) will survive.
11. Intellectual Property
The Service, including all software, designs, documentation, and trademarks, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by law. Except for the limited right to use the Service under these Terms, no rights are granted to you.
You may submit feedback, suggestions, or ideas ("Feedback"). You grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use Feedback for any purpose without obligation to you.
12. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.
WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR THAT IT WILL DETECT, PREVENT, OR CORRECTLY REPORT ANY ISSUE WITH YOUR SYSTEMS. ALERTS, METRICS, AND REPORTS ARE INDICATIVE ONLY. YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR SYSTEMS, THEIR AVAILABILITY, AND ANY CONSEQUENCES ARISING FROM THEIR FAILURE.
See also our separate Disclaimer.
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
NEITHER PARTY WILL BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, LOST SAVINGS, LOST DATA, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, LOSS OF GOODWILL, OR COST OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100).
THE LIMITATIONS IN THIS SECTION APPLY REGARDLESS OF THE LEGAL THEORY (CONTRACT, TORT, STATUTE, OR OTHERWISE) AND REGARDLESS OF WHETHER ANY LIMITED REMEDY FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law (for example, liability for fraud, gross negligence, or willful misconduct, where such exclusions are not permitted).
14. Indemnification
You will defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) Your Content; (b) your use of the Service; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any law or third-party right, including claims from any party whose systems you caused the Service to test or monitor.
15. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect, where practicable. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service and may cancel your subscription.
16. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules and excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). The courts of Germany will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any competent court to protect its intellectual property or confidential information.
If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction that grants you non-waivable rights under local law (including the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence), nothing in this section overrides those rights.
17. Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, Disclaimer, and any plan-specific terms, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
- Severability. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
- No waiver. A failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- Force majeure. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
- Notices. We may provide notices to you by email or in-app. You may give notices to us at [email protected].
